In the summer of 1984, Mike McGill perfected the 540 McTwist at a Swedish summer camp. At the same time, V.C.J. was designing a new deck graphic for McGill. With the popularity of the "Skull & Bones" theme, it was also chosen for McGill's new deck. He requested that a snake and lightning bolts be added, as they are abundant in his home state of Florida. 
McGill's Skull & Snake graphic now an iconic design from the 80's.
