About Powell Peralta's Airborne Silicon-Carbide
Airborne: The griptape uses a specific micro-perforation technique that allows air to escape, ensuring a smooth, bubble-free application.
Silicon-Carbide: Rather than using standard sand, it is coated with premium silicon-carbide grit, which is highly durable, provides excellent shoe traction, and is long-lasting.

Arguably one of the most iconic skateboard graphics of all time, "The Ripper" was illustrated in 1983 by legendary Powell-Peralta artist Vernon Courtland Johnson (VCJ), and was originally used as a "Bones Sold Here" dealer shopfront sticker. The artwork found it's way onto clothing and eventually decks.
The Ripper graphic has been a staple of the Powell-Peralta brand since early inception.
