Paul Schmitt established Schmitt Stix in the early 1980's. A respected innovator (known in the industry as "Professor Schmitt"), he was was a leader in high-quality board design and manufacturing, pioneering board features like concave decks, kick noses, rounded edges, and "Air Frame Construction" with air cavities for better pop and longevity.
Schmitt's influence extends beyond his own brand. He has worked with many different skaters and industry leaders, and his manufacturing company, PS Stix, played a crucial role in producing decks for other influential skate companies.
